When do matches start going out to participants? Does everyone always receive matches?

Automated Matchmaking tool
Timing 101
  • Start clock – Matches only begin after at least two confirmed sign‑ups exist and the next scheduled day/hour rolls around.
  • Schedule controls – You pick a weekday (Mon–Sun) and an hour (default is Tuesday, 1PM UTC). Change it anytime by going to your Program dashboard → Settings (⛭ icon); updates apply from the next cycle.
  • Manual send – Wanna test the system? Hit the “Send matches now” button in the Program dashboard to run the job immediately (great for test runs).
Why someone might skip a round
  1. Frequency preference – Eg. a Monthly user sits out on weeks 2‑4.
  2. No compatible partner – The algorithm prioritises making the right match. So sometimes a few people may be skipped if no compatible partner is found. This especially happens if you have a smaller group or strict Must/Don’t rules.
If Force Full Matching is enabled, remaining folks are paired pseudo‑randomly so nobody feels left out.
